This Privacy Policy describes how BTD: Bank Transfer Discount (the "App") collects, uses, and protects your information when you install and use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

1. Information We Collect

We believe in data minimization. When you install the App, we only collect the essential information required to provide our core functionality (applying checkout discounts for manual payments). This includes:

• Store Information: Your shop domain (`myshopify.com` URL), store email, and active theme required to integrate our discount UI.
• App Settings: The discount percentages or fixed amounts you configure within the App's dashboard.
• Checkout Data: Temporary cart data strictly needed to calculate and apply the relevant discounts during a customer's transaction.

2. Data Security & Encryption

The security of your store and your customers' data is our top priority. All data processed by the App is stored securely and encrypted both in transit (using HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. We adhere to industry best practices to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or modification of your data.

3. No Third-Party Sharing

We strictly respect your business privacy. The information collected by the App is used exclusively to operate and improve our services. Your data is never sold, traded, or shared with third parties for marketing or any other purposes. The only exception is when sharing is legally mandated or required by Shopify to maintain compliance with their ecosystem policies.

4. Data Retention & Deletion Upon Uninstallation

We do not hold onto your data unnecessarily. When you uninstall the App from your Shopify store, we immediately stop collecting any new data. Furthermore, in compliance with Shopify's mandatory data protection rules, all your store data, configurations, and associated information will be permanently and automatically deleted from our servers after a standard grace period (typically 48 hours to 30 days post-uninstallation).

5. Merchant and Customer Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

If you are located in Europe (under GDPR) or California (under CCPA), or if you serve customers in these regions, you and your customers have the right to request access to, or erasure of, personal information. Because our App processes minimal personal data on your behalf, we rely on Shopify’s built-in webhooks to handle Data Subject Requests (DSRs). If a customer asks you to delete their data, Shopify will notify our App, and we will automatically purge any associated records.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make significant changes, we will notify you directly via the email associated with your Shopify store.
